Jasmine Lam Design Studio is hiring a senior-level interior designer/architect to join its team in London.
Jasmine Lam Design Studio, a well published boutique architecture and interior design firm renown for blending contemporary and traditional languages of design. We are seeking a skilled senior interior designer/architect to spearhead design through construction for new high-end residential projects. Candidates will work directly with the principal and the design team to manage and oversee all aspects of the project from concept through construction administration.
A proactive approach with excellent follow-up; an ability to work independently and be self-motivated; and the ability to build a strong relationship with vendors, contractors and clients. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and AutoCAD.
Candidates for this position should be highly creative and well-organized with exceptional design skills, strong verbal and graphic communication skills, with an enthusiasm to contribute design dialogue. This is an excellent opportunity for growth.
Work will be done part-time in the London office (W2) and part-time on a remote basis, in a work from home environment. Must be proficient on Zoom, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp Video.
Experience requirements:
- seven to ten years’ experience in high-end custom residential design and detailing
- ability to provide sourcing, pricing, updating budgets, ordering and tracking decorative furniture, drapery, accessories and art for multiple projects
- building FF&E specification packages
- organising furniture deliveries
- generating custom furniture and millwork drawing and renderings.
- creating floor plans, elevations and furniture designs in AutoCAD
- advance understanding of architectural design and have the ability to multitask
- excellent organisational and communication skills dealing with clients, contractors, consultants and vendors
- exceptional skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, 3D rendering programs and hand sketching
- be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, passion to learn and a great attention to detail
