Brand manager
at Really Well Made
Really Well Made has an opportunity for a brand manager to join its studio in London.
Really Well Made is looking for an enterprising and creative individual to help grow a young design-led e-commerce retail business. It is a role for someone with big ambition who can make the role their own and play a key part in our company’s expansion. You will be the key person to expand our online offer for some existing and future brand partners.
Important points to note:
- starting salary is £28k-£35k, depending on experience
- you will need to have a design based degree-level qualification
- a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is an essential skill
- excellent written English language skills will be needed to write product descriptions and compose marketing emails
- if you have sales, marketing or website design experience it will be to your advantage
- this is full time office based position – five days per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm). However we are flexible, and we will happily facilitate home working for a proportion of your time, once certain competencies are demonstrated
We’re a small furniture and homewares retailer based in Battersea, London with a warehouse, showroom and office all under one roof. We’re looking for someone to join the company and become an integral part of our day-to-day operations.
Your tasks will be many and varied but main responsibilities will include the following :
- brand management – you will personally oversee and grow some of our manufacturer/product brands. This will involve choosing and buying-in products, and being the main point of contact at Really Well Made for the brand.
- product listing – we will teach you how to use our website software platform and how to list products online
- image editing and formatting – you will need really good Photoshop skills paired with an artistic eye for detail – to format images ready for our website and marketing platforms. We work on Mac, so you should be confident using this operating system
- customer care – answering customer queries confidently on email, chat and over the phone
- customer sales – once ready you will organise and take customer meetings in the showroom and guide them to select the best products and finishes for their needs
- email and social marketing – you will be given the opportunity to market products and grow customer sales/awareness for them using social networks and email marketing software
Candidates will need a degree-level qualification in a design based subject such as architecture, interior, product, furniture or graphic design. You should already be familiar with the products we retail, as you will have a passion for modern contemporary design and will probably own a few items yourself already.
Working at Really Well Made is hard work as you will be given a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, but it’s also very rewarding and easy to see the results of your efforts. You will work in a good-spirited informal environment in an interesting part of industrial London.
To succeed in the role you will need to be organised and professional, with good attention to detail and accuracy. We will be looking for someone who demonstrates a flexibility and keenness to carry out all aspects of the job listed above. If you have additional skills which you think may also be pertinent to design-led retail, please let us know in your cover letter.
Some employee benefits:
- profit sharing annual bonus
- generous staff discount
- additional holiday days at set work anniversaries
Unfortunately we won’t be able to contact every applicant, and we will therefore only respond to candidates shortlisted for interview. We would like to sincerely thank you for your interest in Really Well Made and your time in applying for this position.
