Atelier Ochre is looking for a talented mid-weight interior designer to join to join our growing team in London.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a talented designer to become an important member of our team where you will have real autonomy and take a key defining role. We are currently looking for a talented and imaginative interior designer who is skilled, hard working and shares a passion for design who would like to join our small, friendly professional team.
Our ideal candidate will have an excellent design portfolio, good specification knowledge, and experience of completing a range of residential and hospitality projects.
The position is open to a full time freelancer.
About us
We are a collaborative and experimental interior design and architecture practice which specialises in hospitality interior design including hotels, bar and restaurants, as well as architecture and interiors for homes and residential developments in the UK. We are involved in all aspects of design, producing unique architectural schemes and inspiring interiors.
We operate as a remote office day to day, and have regular internal and external design and project meetings based in well located venues including Soho House and Soho Works around London.
Key responsibilities:
- client presentations including mood boards, drawings, materials and sample boards
- researching and specifying finishes
- sourcing furniture and lighting including antiques
- designing bespoke joinery and furniture
- joinery drawings and packages
- drawings for construction and detailing
- lighting and electrical design and drawings
- managing FF&E schedules and budgets
- on site management and delivery of projects
Skills and experience:
- a relevant professional qualification in interior design, interior architecture or architecture
- a minimum of three years’ experience working in high-end residential and hospitality interior design
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- able to work across multiple projects and manage projects from concept through to completion.
- creative individual with a keen interest in current trends in architecture and design as well as new innovative materials and specifications
- enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced team environment
- able to work independently and as part of a team or directly with the directors
- confident and good presentation skills both face to face as well as virtually
- a keen eye for details and good knowledge of detail drawing design
Software:
- VectorWorks 2022 and above
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- SketchUp
- Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of Studio Designer a plus
