Peter Mikic Studio is looking for an experienced studio/operations manager to support its London studio.

Peter Mikic Studio is looking for an experienced studio/operations manager to support all areas of the studio and property maintenance. We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in a fast paced creative environment with the ability to manage conflicting priorities. No day will be the same and the successful candidate will be able to adapt to the changing requirements of the studio. We’re a team of 22 architects, designers, and support staff with a roster of spectacular projects across the UK and around the world.

Responsibilities will include:

  • helping to ensure the smooth day to day running of the studio
  • assisting the studio directors , design team, and accounts team with project specific duties
  • supporting the design team with diary management, including travel arrangements
  • support all employees with administrative duties where required
  • managing the company’s stock inventory, website and online sales
  • assisting directors with new business enquiries including preparing fee proposals and presentations
  • assisting senior design team and accounts preparation of monthly invoices
  • coordinating routine maintenance and repair work for the company’s affiliated property portfolio
  • managing time keeping software
  • managing software licences and external IT company
  • maintaining and ongoing development of company health and safety policies
  • managing company’s HR processes

Required hard and soft skills:

  • keen interest in architecture and interior design
  • clear and succinct communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who can confidently and sensitively liaise with members of the team, as well as clients, clients’ PA’s, contractors and architects both in person and over phone/email
  • excellent spelling, grammar, and vocabulary with good command of the English language
  • an eye for detail and an ability to maintain accuracy whilst working under pressure
  • a positive, friendly, and practical approach to day to day issues and problem solving. Able to adapt to change and respond positively to new challenges
  • take initiative, must be able to work with limited direction in a fast paced environment
  • utmost discretion, essential when assisting with confidential matter
  • excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Google Business Suite, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) – Esti Mac/PC and Sage 50 would be advantageous. The studio manager will administrate various IT systems

The position will be extremely dynamic working across multiple work streams. It’s therefore essential that the successful candidate is adaptable and has a good understanding of the industry and responsibilities of a leading interior design firm.
