Mid-weight interior architect

Lustedgreen is seeking a mid-weight interior architect with good experience to join its team in London.

Key skills required:
- have a minimum four to five years’ postgraduate relevant experience of working on commercial projects in the UK
- an interior architecture degree or a Part 1/2 architecture qualification
- experience in all stages of design projects from concept, tendering, construction and handover
- some experience with basic planning applications and the planning process
- good knowledge of and an ability to navigate UK building regulations related to interior commercial fit-out projects
- a creative approach and passionate about creating great design solutions with an eye for detail
- proficient with Mac formats using Vectorworks Architect, SketchUp, photoshop and InDesign
- being effective in producing presentations and technical drawing packages within budget and time constraints
- ability to produce CGIs would be an advantage and have good presentation skills
- excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills necessary for liaising with clients and the project team
- strong record-keeping skills
- being comfortable in client and project team facing roles, with a good commercial awareness and customer service skills
- good materials and technical detailing knowledge and experience in sourcing furniture, materials and finishes and presenting and scheduling FF&E
- a positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work well both in a team and confidently on your own in the office or remotely
- ability to manage your time effectively and work under pressure when required on a number tasks simultaneously
Like most design studios we have embraced a hybrid method of working and there will be scope to work from home to suit your individual needs from time to time, beyond the pandemic.
However, we will expect strong engagement and commitment in return for this flexibility. Subject to government restrictions, we will expect and encourage face to face collaboration as part of an energetic and driven studio culture.
Our projects are currently based throughout the UK and Ireland. You will be most likely be required to travel within the UK to attend project sites, suppliers and client meetings.
You should be based in the UK, ideally in or with easy access to Central London, hold a valid UK work permit, if required and be fluent in written and spoken English.
