Mid-weight interior designers
at LXA
LXA Projects is hiring mid-weight interior designers to join its team in London.
We are looking for two mid-weight interior designers (or Part 2 architect) to join our creative team in London to work on a range of hospitality and education projects.
What we are looking for:
- one mid-weight interior designer or architect with experience in the hospitality sector
- one technical minded interior designer or technician
Key responsibilities:
- taking projects from schematic design through to completion
- contribute in developing design proposals for presentation to the client – this will include concept ideas, development of layouts and SketchUp views
- specify products and materials
- preparing detailed drawings, specifications and schedules for tender and construction within pre-agreed programme and cost parameters
- liaising with external consultants across the project stages and coordinate all
- assist senior ID in reviewing construction work on site as required
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- AutoCAD and SketchUp experience (minimum five years’)
- Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- minimum three years’ in the hospitality sector
- working knowledge of building regulations, British standards and other relevant statutory legislation
- a degree in interior design or architecture
- excellent design and technical skills
- demonstrates experience in all stages of the design process from conception to completion
- good communication and client management
- work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- experience of fast-track projects from inception to completion
- knowledge of and ability to undertake on-going research of furniture systems, products, finishes and materials
- knowledge of planning and listed building application requirements
