Job: designer
Location: office in Sutton, South West London. Client, architect and interior designer’s offices, mostly in central London and southern England
Salary: £30k per annum
The successful candidate will play a key role within the company, developing designs of architectural plasterwork in the very special projects that our company is involved with and managing the design process from initial concept through to fabrication. The role suits a creative self-starter who can communicate at all levels and drive a project’s design. You will find it rewarding to work on projects where our clients demand the finest detailing and a creative streak.
Responsibilities:
- take responsibility for managing the design process of our architectural plasterwork design concepts and visions through sketches and CAD drawings
- presenting to clients and specifiers
- preparing fabrication drawings for approval prior to manufacture
- coordinating our designs with other interfacing trades’ designers
- managing design development programmes, meeting deadlines for design elements
Requirements:
- a positive, energetic and outgoing personality with enthusiasm for high quality interiors
- highly proficient in AutoCAD
- creativity
- the ability to express design concepts via sketching
- experience of working on UK high end residential, hotel or retail projects
- knowledge of classical architecture would be a bonus
- excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- pro-active, can-do attitude. Desire to learn and improve
