Wolterinck has a temporary part-time position available for a product designer to join its team in Laren, the Netherlands.
Wolterinck designs interiors, exteriors, gardens, terraces and products with its own signature. We design different products for various top brands, where design and functionality go hand in hand. Our designs have a sober and timeless appearance, and are created with a great eye for detail and special materials. In addition to creative director Marcel Wolterinck, Wolterinck consists of a team of 30 professionals. The atmosphere in the organization is informal and lines are short.
Purpose of the position
The Product Designer visualizes the company’s creativity through product designs for third parties or for internal use. Almost all products that you design together with Marcel Wolterinck can be used in the interior and exterior designs that the studio designs, but are designed for and sold by manufacturers under their own label.
Place of the position
As product designer you report in line to the general manager (general affairs) and functionally to the creative director (creativity).
Result areas:
- design of products and it’s elaboration plus supervision during the realization of projects
- achieving the qualitative result of the product design department
- good contact with the manufacturers
- good internal communication with other departments within Wolterinck
Tasks include:
- designing and developing products on an aesthetic level
- making drawings, both by hand and the computer, sketch designs, 3D drawings and technical 2D drawings
- make renderings
- contact manufacturers during the design process, product development and sales
- supervision of projects
- pass on all relevant information to the creative and general manager
- register worked hours
- final responsibility for the planning of the internal activities
- graphical support of the marketing department

The position is to replace a maternity leave. Hours and period in consultation. The preferred period is from May to October for 16 – 24 hours a week. Work location partly at the office and from home.
