Simon Ronan Landscape Architects is hiring an office manager to join its team in West Cork, Ireland.
About SRLA
SRLA is an international landscape architecture practice collaborating with the best international architects on a diverse portfolio of projects in terms of in typology, scale and geographic range. Projects include; exciting hospitality and regeneration projects in Europe, large scale masterplanning projects in Asia, as well as hotels and resorts in the Mediterranean & the Middle East. SRLA is based in Ireland, with plans to expand in Europe in the near future.
The role
We are seeking an experienced office manager and administrator to join our expanding practise in West Cork, Ireland. The successful candidate will be key in enabling the practise to grow, with future opportunities in management and operations depending on interests and skill sets. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and motivated.
Location
Skibbereen, West Cork, Ireland. Some remote working possible.
Our rural office is located in a bustling market town in the West of Ireland with good restaurants and music, surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and the dramatic coastline of the Atlantic ocean.
Your responsibilities will include
Administration:
- calendar management
- travel arrangements for all team members
- invoicing for projects
- assistance with project bids and presentations
- projects to improve practise efficiency
- some PA to director (calendar management, preparation of meeting materials)
- managing insurance policies
Office maintenance:
- day-to-day office management
- IT – managing printers and printer supplies, keeping software
- licenses and maintenance contracts up to date; liaising with external
- managing company Drop Box
- keeping the practice website up to date
- updating the company portfolio document
- printing
HR support:
- coordinating staff holiday requests
- managing recruitment of new staff (setting up interviews, drafting offers and employment contracts)
- overseeing induction and training of new staff
- reviewing time sheets
About you
Qualifications: strong written English and numeracy skills
Desired experience:
- experience of a wide-ranging administration role
- experience of working as the sole administrator in a small company
Skills and competencies:
- Experienced user of MS Office (Excel, Word)
- InDesign and WordPress skills
- strong with IT systems in general
- strong verbal communication skills and drafting skills for correspondence
- highly organised
- flexible
- strong initiative and team player
- able to discern the important from the urgent and prioritise accordingly
