London, UK
Associate principal
at Hassell
Hassell is hiring an associate principal to join its team in London.
About the role
This is a market-facing leadership role, helping guide and drive the shape and future of our UK architecture team. The role is about growing business, working directly with clients and advance opportunities that develop and strengthen Hassell’s profile within the UK and Europe, with a focus on commercial, health and education architecture. It is an opportunity for someone entrepreneurial – someone wanting to grow a team within the context of an established global design practice.
Such a key leadership role requires an existing network of strongly established clients and industry connections, and an intimate detailed knowledge of architecture, design trends, local market insights and experience in creating strategic project opportunities. Through an actively engaged network and leveraged industry experience, the role will help grow and strengthen client relationships to drive the conversion towards new projects and increased market influence.
Within the studio, this role will provide leadership, direction, and knowledge input for the delivery of projects, managing project deliverables, programs, and deadlines, and developing the capability of the UK team. More broadly, whilst based in London and focused on the UK and European region, this role will be part of our global leadership cohort and will involve working closely with both our UK regional leader and global heads of design.
About you
You are highly networked and regarded as an established leader in the UK and/or European market with substantial built project experience. You are currently excelling in your role at senior associate level and have mapped your pathway to principal with drive and motivation to grow a team, build client relationships, chase great leads and opportunities and deliver creative design outcomes.
With a portfolio of both designed and constructed work, and a reputation for contributing to knowledge leadership and research across the UK and/or European region, you are skilled at bringing together both strategic intelligence and creative design. This senior-level leadership and reputation will be instrumental in your ability to identify opportunities for client engagement/partnerships, lead business development pitches, and build relationships with clients.
