About the role
Our Melbourne studio is looking for a senior associate landscape architect to join our talented team. You will have extensive experience working on projects from end to end, with a proven track record of delivering Transport projects including rail stations and level crossing removals.
You will be confident in the infrastructure sector and involved in networking and client relationship management within the sector. You will be ambitious and motivated to work in a design studio focused on landscape and urban environmental projects with a demonstrated interest in shaping sustainable cities, be an inspiring and organised leader with an ability to apply your skills creatively across multi-disciplinary boundaries.
Your work will involve acting as a transport leader and project manager developing landscape design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope.
This role will focus on the following four key areas:
- design – encourage collaboration and a high degree of creativity, promoting design excellence and environmental sustainability
- team development – inspire and coach individual team members to optimise their infrastructure understanding and capabilities
- client relationship management – set up client meetings, manage external relationships and generate new leads
- project management – active project leadership through all phases, from initial client contacts through marketing initiatives, business development efforts, contract negotiations, project kick-off, feasibility studies, strategic planning, master planning, programming, conceptual design, design development, construction documentation
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
- registered landscape architect with a minimum of eight years professional experience
- proven experience in delivering transport/infrastructure projects
- the ability to think creatively to innovate and problem-solve design challenges in a proactive and collaborative manner
- proficient report documentation skills with strong graphical eye and written components
- project management experience working with a range of clients and stakeholders and the development of positive client relationships
- demonstrated capabilities to work both independently and collaboratively on projects
- ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects, tasks and stakeholders effectively
- strong leadership abilities in the areas of business development, professional and community involvement
- strong business acumen and critical thinking skills in the pursuit of the work
- experience in leading teams and coaching individual team members to optimise their professional and personal development promoting health and wellbeing initiatives
- experience with Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) is essential
- experienced in REVIT and BIM workflows
