Uskuri Theobald Architects are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Part 1 and 2 architectural assistants, to work on a number of exciting residential projects – from new build to large extension and renovations.

Uskuri Theobald Architects are based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Primarily working in the private residential sector, with a focus and passion for delivering design-led proposals that exceed the client’s expectations, providing great examples of quality architecture. We have recently focused on securing a number of new build projects, enabling the practice to grow and develop a reputation delivering exceptional one off luxury homes in the Hertfordshire area.
The role
The role will be based in our St Albans office, at this time we are not looking for remote working, as we understand the value of collaboration between the design team on a regular basis.
The successful applicant will be expected to have a good knowledge of construction details and UK building regulations. The applicant will need work independently and as part of a team, utilising excellent communication skills. The applicant will be expected to maintain high standards of design and work on a number of separate projects, balancing the requirements and deadline of each project.
For Part 2 – candidates will need to have a minimum of one years relevant work experience as a Part 1 architectural assistant and or as a Part 2 architectural assistant working on residential projects.
For Part 1 – candidates will need to have recently completed their RIBA Part 1 course.
Key responsibilities:
- generate 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD
- generate 3D models using SketchUp
- generate presentation CGI’s using Lumion
- generate presentation documents using Photoshop and InDesign
- graphic design to include layout of proposals and creation of mood boards
- assist in report writing
- assisting and preparing technical design packages for building control submission and tender documentation
- assist in project administration
- attend and contribute to regular design reviews internally and with the client
