Birmingham, UK
Associates and associate directors
at ADP
ADP Architecture has opportunities for associates and associate directors at its studio in Birmingham, UK.
Do you dream of a better built environment?
We’re looking for architects at associate and associate director level to join our studio in the jewellery district of Birmingham and help us to design a better future – one where buildings genuinely serve the needs of the people who use them. If you’re a highly talented and experienced architect who’s looking for their next exciting challenge, this could be the role for you.
With eight studios across the UK, Cyprus and India, and over 50 years’ history, ADP is an AJ100 top 40 architecture practice which designs around the principles of sustainability, belonging and engagement, rethinking the built environment to create a better future. At ADP you’ll be working on projects in a variety of sectors that truly benefit their communities, including mixed-use developments, sensitive refurbishments and envelope-pushing new builds and £100m high-profile schemes to local grassroots projects. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise and develop your skills in a chosen sector or as an all-rounder, working with our cross-practice specialists in sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare and education design.
Our associates and associate directors oversee and manage our ADP projects and teams and act as the lead consultant within the wider design team. You would be managing the design process, programming outputs and ensuring the delivery of high quality designs which align with ADP’s ethos and vision. You’ll be supported by a local director and our nationwide specialist sector directors.
ADP is an employee-owned and employee-focused practice. All staff have a say in how the business is run, and everyone benefits from its success. We know that a healthy work/life balance is key and all staff have flexible working hours, the option for hybrid working and the opportunity to take a three-day weekend every fortnight. Other benefits include a bonus scheme, healthcare plan and enhanced maternity and paternity provision.
We’re an equal opportunities employer and a gold-standard investor in people – reflecting our belief that it takes a people-centred practice to create people-centred architecture. Diversity is at the heart of our success, and we welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
