Sophie Paterson Interiors is seeking an interior architectural designer to join its team in London.

We have an exciting opportunity for an interior architectural designer to join our growing design studio.  The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work collaboratively with the interior design team from project conception to completion.

You will work with the lead interior designers to develop project design concepts as well as execute construction details and full drawing packages.

Great communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working with multiple members of the design team as well as liaising directly with clients.

Essential requirements:

  • high level of presentation skills
  • strong design and problem-solving skills, with an excellent eye for detail
  • minimum two years’ of experience within the high-end residential design industry
  • project management skills
  • able to communicate clearly and sensitively with clients & contractors
  • self organised, proactive and time-efficient, with a proven ability to effectively manage workloads
  • strong skills in software packages including AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign  as well as Microsoft Office suite
  • proven ability in spatial planning and developing drawing packages from concept to construction stages
  • interior architecture degree or similar
  • enthusiasm to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • good knowledge of UK building regulations and UK planning policy
  • experience in designing bespoke furniture and furnishings, including technical detailing
  • the ability to work remotely with the flexibility to be office-based as well as regular site visits to London
