PLP Architecture is hiring an HR coordinator/HR advisor to join its team in London.

PLP Architecture is a London-based group of architects, designers and thinkers who value the transformative role of ideas and the capacity for architecture to inspire. PLP has created some of the world’s smartest and most sustainable buildings that have redefined what it means to live and work in today’s cities. The practice’s in-house think tank, PLP Labs, is a research collaborative that develops concepts and technologies aimed at the future development of urban living.

PLP is currently designing projects across three continents and has buildings under construction in the UK, The Netherlands, Italy, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore, and Japan. Notable work in a diverse portfolio includes 22 Bishopsgate, Sky Central and Bankside Yards in London, Tree House and The Edge in Amsterdam and Corso Como Place in Milan.

We are seeking a HR coordinator to join our busy HR department based in London on a full-time basis (9.00am to 6.00pm).

Responsibilities include:

  • managing the end of end recruitment for the practice – drafting ads, shortlisting CVs, liaising with agencies, sending out contracts
  • ensuring new joiners and leavers documentation is processed accurately
  • carrying out new joiner inductions and exit reviews
  • ensuring right to work checks are completed and employee records are kept up to date
  • managing and updating absence records
  • payroll administration, liaising with finance team
  • monthly headcount report
  • managing probation and performance reviews
  • first point of contact regarding day-to-day HR queries and responding to employees in a timely manner
  • managing the visa process and ensuring documentation is in line with UK Home Office
  • managing maternity, paternity, adoption and share parental leave
  • managing the work experience process, liaising with schools and students
  • providing general administrative support to HRD

Key skills:

  • good knowledge of UK employment law
  • experience using HR systems
  • proactive, self-motivated and a team player
  • ability to be discreet and deal with sensitive information
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent organisational and time management skills
  • enthusiastic and flexible approach
  • good knowledge of MS Office
