Senior consultant – placemaking and capital projects

BOP Consulting is seeking a senior consultant for placemaking and capital projects to join its team remotely or in London/Birmingham, UK.
We’re looking for a senior consultant to focus on place making and capital projects at BOP. We welcome experience across consultancy/property development/urban design. Flexible, min 0.8 FTE, circa £50k.
A senior consultant at BOP is responsible for winning and delivering projects across our business areas. They will often be the intellectual lead on projects, continuing our reputation for high quality and robust analysis. For this role, we are looking for a candidate who has demonstrable professional experience winning and delivering projects related to placemaking and cultural master planning – our work on both major regeneration schemes and development of new cultural projects, attractions and cultural destinations.
What we are looking for:
- six plus years’ work experience at a senior level – either in a consultancy business or cultural institution, urban design, property development or a placemaking agency
- strong report writing skills, especially using PowerPoint. You should be able to write crisp business English and translate findings into engaging, client-focused slides
- high level analytical skills. You should have exceptional critical reasoning skills
Experience in one or more of the following:
- developing feasibility and option studies
- developing market and demand appraisals for cultural/commercial organisations
- business planning and business development
- cultural regeneration and placemaking
- planning policy
Details:
- you will report to a director
- salary range of £50 to £60,000 pa plus bonus, depending on experience
- this role is offered on a full-time (37.5hrs pw) or 0.8 FTE (30hrs pw)
- 25 days holiday (including 5 days during the Christmas closure period)
- we are open to flexible working arrangements. Working remotely is possible although we require fortnightly on-site presence (London) during your probationary period, and periodic attendance afterwards. The frequency of this will be agreed upon with your line manager
