The post holder would develop policies and guidance on sustainability and provide advice in the management, evaluation and negotiation of a wide range of planning applications for significant, often high profile and complex development. You will be a passionate and knowledgeable advocate for sustainable design, always keeping ahead of the pace, comfortable negotiating sustainable outcomes at a strategic and detailed level. You will lead on matters of sustainability policy and design including delivering on zero carbon, circular economy, climate resilience, urban greening and generally on all issues of sustainability and climate change. You will take a leading role in optimising the sustainable credentials of high profile central London development with the potential to deliver lasting change. You will be expected to bring wider colleagues with you on this journey.
The post requires a degree in town planning, architecture, environmental sciences, engineering, building surveying or a related profession or discipline and membership or eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or other relevant professional body.
An effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be IT literate with working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
A commitment to excellent customer services, a flexible approach to work and the ability to work to very strict deadlines are essential qualities for this role.
