About the role

As a senior landscape architect with Hassell, you’ll be responsible for delivery of complex projects from inception through to successful completion.  You’ll lead highly motivated design and documentation teams working across all project stages, from initial sketch design, detailed design, documentation through to contract administration.

You’ll be responsible for interfacing with clients, including conducting project evaluations and feasibility studies as well as preparing contractual agreements, procurement and monitoring project delivery against budget and program.

With a strong pipeline of work across a range of sectors including cultural, environmental, community based, public Realm, commercial and infrastructure, you’ll be joining at a time where the opportunities for career growth and development are plentiful!

Some of our current projects in the Melbourne studio include:

• precinct-based regeneration programs including the Melbourne Arts Precinct, La Trobe University and UTAS in Launceston, Tasmania
• major public realm projects like Bakery Hill’s Renewal in Ballarat and Chapel Street’s renewal
• environment and communities of the Bass Coast associated with the Yallock-Bulluk Marine and Coastal Park

This is a senior level role in our team with a pathway to Associate for the right person.

About you

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who is energetic and passionate about design with a willingness to work on projects across multiple geographies.

Candidates should have the following key skills, experience and qualifications:

• internationally recognised qualification in landscape architecture
• well rounded skillset with experience in delivering concept design, design development and documentation packages, working as part of a dynamic, collaborative team
• have experience in green infrastructure, nature-based climate adaptation and/or community-driven environmental projects
• high graphic sensitivity with strong skills in Adobe programs including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• highly proficient in AutoCad, Rhino and Revit
• developed knowledge of Australian standards
• proficient in Microsoft Office
• AILA registered landscape architect with a minimum of seven years relevant experience
