Part 3 architect or Part 2 architectural assistant

Patalab is seeking a Part 3 architect or Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
Patalab was established in 2008 and has gained a reputation for its high quality design of contemporary spaces for a wide range of private, public and corporate clients in the UK, and across Europe. We enjoy transforming existing buildings for new uses as well as delivering innovative and site-specific new build projects. Our design approach aims at the delivery of sensitive but powerful designs that compliment their context. We are working at every scale – from a bespoke cabinet handle to modular fabrication systems for multi-storey buildings. Our completed work includes a number of acclaimed award-winning schemes: Snowflake School in Acton; Heath House and Cascade House in Hampstead; The Gables in Primrose Hill; and Marconi House in central London.

Candidates should have a strong interest in residential and refurbishment projects as well as the following experience and skills:
Experience and skills:
- excellent design skills
- good understanding of UK planning system, building regulations and construction processes
- experience of project involvement from inception to completion (all RIBA work stages)
- ability to work within a team as well as working independently, coordinate and manage others
- highly organised to be able to work efficiently on several projects simultaneously
- good working knowledge of CAD (ideally Microstation)
- fluent in written and spoken English
- ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through drawings and models
