Senior architect – residential experience

OMA is seeking a senior architect with residential experience to join its team in New York.
OMA’s New York office is looking for a senior architect with extensive experience in the design and execution of residential building projects. In this role you will be responsible for the production and coordination of construction documents, and related tasks in the delivery of complex residential building projects.
Requirements:
- professional degree in architecture
- eight plus years’ work experience in an international architecture office, working on complex, large scale building projects
- license to practice architecture in the USA (NCARB registration a plus)
- fundamental understanding of the design process and ability to translate great architecture into a great building
- strong conceptual and design talent
- experience in (technical) detailing, project related (special) material research, and complex problem solving on all scales
- demonstrated experience working with BIM and strong working knowledge of Revit
- ability to liaise where appropriate with consultants to assess design solutions and guarantee the integrity of the final design
- ability to assist in the production and development of all necessary documents, drawings, models, images, schemes etc. related to the design and building process
- strong AutoCAD, 3D Max, Rhino, and Adobe Suite skills
- knowledge of US building codes and standards
- fluency in English
- good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
- knowledge of OMA’s work
