SCP Contracts is seeking an operations manager to join its team in London.
SCP Contracts is looking for an experienced operations manager to join our busy team based in Shoreditch and remotely. This is an opportunity to join an established design-led contract furniture company working with architects and designers on a mix of workplace, public sector, hospitality and high-end residential projects.
Applicants need to be highly organised with good attention to detail and have operational and customer services experience, ideally in the furniture dealership field.
You will be responsible for a team of two managing our projects from point of order right through to installation. You will liaise with our clients, suppliers, installers and delivery partners to ensure our clients receive the highest level of service. You will also be responsible for managing and improving the company’s operations, systems and procedures.
The role:
- manage our larger projects from receipt of order to successful completion, all to the satisfaction of the client
- manage a team of two, one in logistics and the other in accounts
- review and improve the company’s operational processes and procedures, as well as those of our warehousing and installation partners
- responsibility for our stock management system
- oversee our accounts and credit control operations
The person:
- highly organised and a clear thinker with attention to detail and priorities
- problem solver who remains calm under pressure
- strong customer relations and communication skills
- self-motivated, proactive and keen to take own initiative
- ability to harness systems to optimise the company’s performance
- experience with Sage Line 50 and Monday.com or similar work management platforms
- strong team player with experience of people management
- degree level education or equivalent
This is a full-time role with a competitive salary and you will be expected to work in our Shoreditch offices at least three days a week
