Leading landscape designer Jinny Blom is looking for a motivated, organised studio manager to join her multidisciplinary landscape architecture practice based in the buzzing design hub of Clerkenwell. Experience within a creative studio environment would be a great asset.
The studio’s projects are complex and large scale involving full master planning, multifarious ecology and land use matters, detailed historic research and a customised approach to land restoration and management. Within these expansive landscapes we also devise innovative and holistic garden designs – forming part of a greater whole of Jinny’s inspirational and celebrated vision.
We are culturally committed to intelligent design and imaginative use of land to make it exceptional for people, plants, soil, wildlife, with a focus on safeguarding for the future. We have meticulous design aesthetics and principles. Attention to detail in both research and design are core. We collaborate with a wide range of specialist designers, craftsmen, and the very best architectural practices worldwide to achieve our exceptionally high standards.

About the role
We are looking for an outgoing individual with an attention to detail, and a love of creative studio working to join our multidisciplinary team at Jinny Blom Studio. You will provide key support to Jinny Blom, the Director, and the wider team in the day to day running, diary management, legal and HR liaison, upkeep, maintenance, security and safety of the studio and its many facilities and functions. Essential to the role, you will also provide an outstanding organisational skillset with both front and back of house, communicating with both clients and collaborators throughout the day.

09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday

Tasks:
- personal assistant and all related tasks to Jinny Blom
- co-ordination of general office administration
- organising and co-ordinating the smooth running of the studio, making it an efficient and pleasant environment for staff and visitors
- coordinating the studio calendar and DTM minutes
- logging the directors time and travel
- operating as co-ordinator and liaison between staff and senior management.
- acting as first point of contact for clients and collaborators.
- liaising with the studio’s third-party insurers/accountant/ legal team as instructed by the director
- day-to-day responsibility for public relations and internal/external communications
- liaison with the PR team
- monitoring all press and ensuring it is correctly archived
- maintaining and managing the office press book
- liaising with book binders to produce bespoke books for clients.
- scheduling regular and ad hoc staff, supplier, collaborator and client meetings and preparing the associated agenda, minutes, notes and follow-up correspondence
- monitoring of, and progress reports on, studio projects including, without limitation, budgets, planning and deadlines
- general co-ordination of contracts, tenders and bids as relevant to the design team
- documenting and archiving of completed projects, such as book binding and final filing
- attending on occasions marketing and promotional events.
- management of visas and sponsorship licences
- management of HR protocols and policies
- management of H&S policies and practicalities
- management of staff reviews and follow up to support the director and senior team
- coordination with the management accountants on timesheet preparation/ petty cash and so on
- coordinate and deliver studio events
- keep up to date with changing legislation and advise the director and team as required
