Barclay Interiors is seeking an experienced mid-weight interior designer to join its team in Ascot, Berkshire. This role has the promotion potential. Our design team creates unique and timeless interiors for private residential clients, embassies, boutique hotels, and property investors/developers globally. Our ethos is to guide our clients towards their desired design outcome, with a focus on building a long-lasting relationship. From conceptual formation to spatial layouts, to interior architecture and creating luxurious finishes, the team at Barclay Interiors are dynamic, proactive and responsive.

The role
To assist the design director and creative director on projects sourcing furniture, fabrics and decorative lighting for schemes, collating all schedules including sanitary-ware, decorative lighting and finishes, collating space planning technical drawings for all furniture and lighting layouts (VW). The candidate will lead and manage mid-sized projects, delegating work to assistant designers, as well as assisting in the showroom with styling and supplier meetings.
Ideal candidates will have:
- an interior design/decorating degree or diploma
- minimum five years’ experience in high-end residential design
- technical skills – Vectorworks, Estimac/EstiPC, Microsoft Office including Outlook
- enthusiasm and the ability to show initiative
- strong communication skills
- creative flair and a conceptual approach to design
- understanding of and experience in delivering projects from presentations to drawing packages
- strong teamwork ability
- the capability to collaborate, to innovate and to learn
Applicants should have a flair for design and experience working on high end residential projects demonstrated through their portfolio of work. They should be creative, organised, efficient and professional at all times.
Hours
Full-time, permanent.
9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Studio-based role in Ascot, Berkshire with sourcing days at DCCH.
Salary: dependent on experience
