Floor Story is looking for a sales and e-commerce coordinator to join its team in London.

Floor Story, East London’s friendliest rug dealer, are looking for a sales and e-comm coordinator to join our team. Based in our brilliant showroom near Old Street, this is a full time role – Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm.

Job description

Floor Story is looking for a motivated, organised and proactive new team member to help coordinate the sales and e-commerce parts of our busy rug dealership. This exciting opportunity will suit someone who likes working in a creative environment but thrives on detail and precision with a systematic approach to work.

Day to day, this role requires you to work with the sales team to place orders and create invoices. In addition, you will be responsible for learning the website systems and after training will be taking the lead on this. It will suit a person who likes working with systems and has the ability and drive to improve and streamline processes.

While this is not a retail role, an element of customer care and service is natural and the right person will have the confidence to look after our customers as well as our suppliers. As a small team, there is always an element of pitching in and helping out in other areas. An interest in sustainability is also desirable as Floor Story is constantly looking for more sustainable ways to produce, wrap and ship our rugs.

Essential skills:

  • organisational skills – order management, scheduling, invoicing
  • at least one year’s experience of e-commerce/website management
  • proficient with a variety of software (inc. Craft or equivalent, Microsoft, Trello, Google) and confident to learn new systems
  • excellent communication skills
  • attention to detail
  • problem solving
  • time management

Additional skills (non-essential):

  • experience of working within a small business and/or the manufacturing industry
