Quintessa Art is hiring a graphic designer to join its team in London.
Quintessa is an international art consultancy and creative design studio creating bespoke and made-to-order art. With over thirty year’s experience, the company has been commissioned by some of the industry’s best-known interior designers, architects, art consultants and art procurement names.
About the role
Quintessa is looking to recruit a designer who is passionate about art and interiors, and has creative vision. The designer will work closely with our joint-managing directors and other in-house designers ensuring that concepts created match the client’s brief and design vision. The designer will work closely alongside the broader team of makers and in-house artisans.
About you
As an enthusiastic key member of the in-house design team, you will be incremental in helping create new artwork concepts for the Quintessa art portfolio. You will develop new design suggestions as well as being able to take a client brief and realise it. You will have great attention to detail and be organised when it comes to workflow. You will be great with colour, pattern and mark-making, as well as be able to transform physical art concepts into beautiful digital formats. You will be a bright proactive person, with a genuine interest in interior design and art. You will be a strong team player, good at nurturing younger members of the team and have the ability to multitask, as well as being good at self-management.
Essential tasks will include:
- the ability to interpret a written or visual client brief (within the context of luxury and contemporary interior design)
- colour corrections (knowledge of RAL colour system a benefit)
- creative layouts and good at presentation documents and have a good eye for fonts
- maintenance of image banks, image captioning, purchasing image rights and understanding of copyright issues
- create frame and in situ room mock up’s
- scanning, PSD colour adjustments, newsletter layouts, social media graphics, website layouts
Necessary qualifications
Software skills should ideally include:
- Adobe Creative Suites 6 – principally photoshop Microsoft Office 7
- Photoshop
- In Design
- Illustrator
- Knowledge of HTML/CCS/Javascript helpful
