GIS specialist
at Cross Works
Cross Works is seeking a GIS specialist to join its established technology team in London.
Applicants should expect to provide integral support to our architects and urban designers, and key analytics to support urban-planning decision making. In addition, applicants are required to have a substantial knowledge of ESRI software, including components such as ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro (and Esri’s analytical tools).
For this role, you will need to be an efficient problem solver with great communication skills. You’ll be highly competent with the fundamentals of GIS and be passionate about working on large city-scale projects. At Cross Works, we endeavour to push the boundaries of possibility with regards to urban planning and cities. An ideal candidate will share this desire and be eager to demonstrate the capabilities of GIS and spatial data.
The following skills will be required in order to be shortlisted for interview:
- bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in geography, GIS, computer sciences or other relevant subjects
- advanced knowledge/expertise in ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise
- knowledge of the integration of GIS and real-time visualisation
- a knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
- fluent use of Microsoft Office applications
- passion for spatial data and the role it can play in masterplanning and cities
- a willingness to learn new skills and innovate
- knowledge of Python, R or other coding languages is desirable
- experience using ArcPy (or other spatial packages) will be advantageous
- experience developing applications and dashboards
- knowledge of CAD/BIM and their GIS integration
- knowledge of 3D geometry (and 3D software such as Blender)
- SQL/Oracle skills and understanding
Key responsibilities:

We offer a generous salary and benefits (dependent on experience and capabilities), including an annual bonus scheme.
This position will require working in an office environment five days a week in London (please note, this is not a remote or WFH/semi-WFH role).
