Freelance procurement coordinator
at Koto Living
Koto Living is looking for a freelance procurement coordinator to join its team remotely.
The freelancer will work closely with the Koto Living team to oversee the purchasing and procurement activities of the company.
This will involve:
- procurement planning: collaborate with team to understand their procurement requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly
- supplier management: conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, identify potential suppliers and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best terms and pricing
- liaising with internal and external stakeholders: engage with various stakeholders, including suppliers, storage companies and clients, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- coordinating deliveries: facilitate the delivery of goods from suppliers to site or storage facilities, coordinating logistics to meet project deadlines
- price and cost analysis: conduct cost comparisons and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements; additionally, update product pricing in procurement software and spreadsheets as needed.
- documentation: input data into procurement system and spreadsheets, prepare reports on procurement activities
Strong procurement experience is important and often more significant than academic qualifications.
Essential requirements:
- minimum of two years’ experience in procurement and purchasing, or supply chain management
- knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
- excellent proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and procurement software
- excellent attention to detail, great organisation skills and confidence taking ownership of projects including managing all documentation
- strong communication skills
- legal right to work within the UK
Preferred requirements:
- bachelor’s degree in procurement, logistics, business administration, supply chain management or a related field
- experience in interior design field preferred
