Assistant designer
Rolfe Judd is seeking an assistant designer to join its London team.
Rolfe Judd is a leading design practice based in London. We are looking for a hard working creative person to join our team.
Responsibilities and requirements
You will have to work with our architects and planners. We are looking for a design lead individual to work with the team in creating documents, brochures and detailed technical information to complete design and access statements. In addition to these qualities we are looking for a modelmaker, creating models from timber or polystyrene using the hot wire cutter.
You will also have to assist marketing on numerous print and digital projects – develop, edit and prepare creative artwork across a range of media including brochures, adverts, presentations, pitch documents, marketing emails and other digital content, image retouching, maintain the images online and offline. Understand the company quality and file management systems, and employ a methodical approach to archiving management and file organisation.
- excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat
- strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- a good understanding of brand and corporate guidelines
- have a diverse portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in product retouching and creative artworking
- experience in creating both printed and digital artworks and assets
- three-four years experience within the creative industry, preferably in an art worker role
- ability to work with tight deadlines and under pressure
- a strong desire to learn and progress within the industry
- good attention to detail
- excellent organisational and communication skills
- being able to manage more than one design brief at a time
Desirable
You may have studied architecture to degree stage or it could be a graphics or an art degree
Further details:
Hours of work: full-time, 9.30-5.30 Monday to Friday
Duration: one year contract
Holidays: 23 days per annum
Location: Oval, London
Salary according to experience.
