Reception/admin support

ACME is currently looking for reception/admin support at its growing London studio. 

ACME is a design practice working in contemporary architecture, urban planning, and interior design. We are based in a warehouse in Shoreditch.

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised and self-motivated reception and admin assistant with at least two years of experience. Someone who is comfortable being the first point of contact for the office, representing us to the outside world and working well with the rest of the admin team.

Exceptional communication skills, the ability to multi-task and a keen attention to detail are integral to this role. This is a great opportunity for a confident individual who thrives in a busy and creative environment and who will happily provide order and support for an interesting group of convivial architects.

Main responsibilities:

  • greeting all studio guests and general reception duties
  • answering telephone calls in a polite and professional manner, taking clear and accurate messages and/or transferring calls
  • booking travel for all staff
  • receiving and distributing post, obtaining shipping quotes, booking and receiving couriers
  • monitoring studio calendars for meetings, organising refreshments, arranging lunch as necessary
  • being responsible for studio-wide emails, announcements and notices
  • ordering supplies for the office
  • maintaining overall tidiness and appearance of the studio
  • provide general support and assistance to all members of staff
  • assist with company press and media
  • being responsible for digital image library, photo library and organising the server as required

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
  • good time management skills and ability to work to deadlines, both as part of a team and independently
  • good knowledge of word processing and database software
  • knowledge of Adobe InDesign advantageous
  • thorough and conscientious multitasker, ability to take direction and manage own workload
  • be interested in being part of a growing creative architecture practice
  • confident, friendly, proactive, with masses of common sense and a good sense of humour
