Part 1 architectural assistant
at Lawson Ward Studio
Lawson Ward Studio is looking for a talented Part 1 architectural assistant to join its growing team in London.
Lawson Ward Studio is an East London-based architecture and design studio, established by Hannah Lawson and Georgina Ward in 2020. Our work spans cultural, education and residential projects, with a particular interest in the adaptation and reinvention of existing buildings and places.
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic architectural assistant to join our team and contribute to projects at a range of scales and stages, from early concept design through to technical design and delivery.
We are currently working with a number of London’s leading museums and galleries, including the National Gallery, the Courtauld Institute of Art and the Wallace Collection, alongside proposals for a leading independent school and private residential projects. Much of our work involves working carefully with existing buildings, combining sensitive remodelling with confident new interventions. We enjoy working collaboratively with clients, consultants, communities and user groups to create thoughtful, characterful and enduring spaces.
The studio’s work has received numerous awards, most recently an AJ award for the National Gallery’s Roden Centre for Creative Learning.
What we are looking for:
- excellent visual and graphic presentation skills
- strong design and verbal communication skills
- enthusiasm and the ability to work well as part of a team
- well-organised, proactive and able to take initiative
- excellent CAD skills, ideally including knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
- good working knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- a genuine passion for architecture and design
- eligibility to work in the UK
To apply, please submit:
