Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + Design is hiring a Part 2/3 architect to provide short-term CAD support for its team in London.

Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + Design specialise in high-quality, bespoke contemporary design, ranging in scale from one-off furniture commissions to new-build private houses. Our award-winning team delivers international projects across hospitality, retail and residential sectors, always with a focus on craft and detail.
We are now seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to join our team on a short-term basis, supporting us during a busy project phase. This role is ideal for someone with experience in high-end residential and commercial construction, detailing, and coordination who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a studio environment and contribute directly to live projects.
We are looking for the right candidate to start immediately but are flexible with the start date.
Responsibilities will include:
- producing accurate CAD drawings, plans, sections, and elevations for live projects
- developing technical details and support design progression from concept to delivery
- contributing to planning and presentation packages with clarity and precision
- collaborating effectively within the team and with senior architects to meet project deadlines
Key skills required:
- a recognised Part 2 or Part 3 degree qualification
- minimum two years relevant working experience
- excellent technical knowledge and detailing skills
- experience working across all RIBA work stages
- knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
- proficiency in Vectorworks, Enscape, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, and Office 365
- confident in communicating with clients, contractors, and consultants
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality outputs
- based in London, with the ability to work in our Vauxhall studio at least 4 days a week
