Part 3 architect/Part 2 architectural assistant

There is an opportunity for a Part 3 architect or a Part 2 architectural assistant at beyond design in London.

We are an innovative international architectural studio with offices in Mumbai and London, looking for a talented and resilient Part 3 architect or experienced Part 2 assistant with a minimum of three to four years’ experience to join our small but dynamic team in our central London office.

At beyond design, you will play a key role in managing projects from the initial concept to the final execution. We value individuals with strong design and technical capabilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  • lead in-house design team and conduct client meetings
  • liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
  • prepare technical design packages and specifications for coordination and construction, ensuring adequate project management for all stages
  • identify project risks during the architectural process and actively look for opportunities to increase efficiency
  • act as point of contact for technical issues related to local regulations and industry markets
  • prepare and review drawings, schedules, specifications and samples
  • prepare regular reports that cover progress and any issues arising
  • provide support and mentorship to younger members of staff

Requirements:

  • excellent spoken and written English and eligible to work in the UK
  • strong design sensibility and technical expertise related to design and construction
  • proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign and SketchUp is essential
  • completed recognised Part 3 certificate (or equivalent) and three to four years’ relevant experience essential
  • proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion
  • UK planning legislation and building regulations in-depth knowledge
  • clear and effective communication and presentation skills
  • you will be highly organised, be able to prioritise your work and meet deadlines
  • excellent problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
  • graphic and rendering skills advantageous
