Tom Faulkner is hiring a finance manager to join its team in London.
Tom Faulkner is an award-winning creative business which makes beautiful and distinctive furniture. We have workshops in Wiltshire and showrooms in London and New York. We employ approximately 35 people across all sites and have plans for expansion. We sell to consumers and businesses all over the world.
We are looking for a finance manager to oversee the end-to-end financial operations of the business both in the UK and US. This is a new role, based at our head office in Belgravia, London.
Overview
As finance manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. As a member of the senior team, you will be expected to look for ways to improve and streamline procedures and controls, and to maximise efficiency in all areas of the business. You will be expected to help implement these changes and plan for different scenarios.
Key responsibilities:
- financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
- sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliation and credit control processes
- submitting regular financials to the company’s accountants both in the UK and the US
- managing the monthly payroll, VAT and HMRC processes
- producing quarterly management reports with commentary
- managing company cashflow and budgeting
- preparing for year-end
- finance business partnering – assisting other departments within the business to make decisions to save time and money to the company in the medium and long term
Skills/experience required:
- fully qualified accountant (ACA) with three years’ experience
- experience in financial planning
- strong financial reporting background with key attention to detail
- good communication skills
