Satish Jassal Architects is recruiting an architect to join its team in London.
Location: King’s Cross, London
Satish Jassal Architects, a practice with multiple awards including an RIBA regional award, is excited to announce openings for talented Architects. Our vibrant office in King’s Cross is involved in a diverse range of projects, from bespoke homes to social housing developments and innovative retrofits.
Role and responsibilities:
- lead and manage architectural projects through all RIBA stages
- develop detailed designs and construction documentation
- collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors
- ensure projects comply with building regulations and UK planning systems
- supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high-quality output
- engage in creative problem-solving and present design options to clients
- conduct site visits and manage project progress
Essential skills:
- excellent communication skills (fluent in English, both written and spoken)
- strong design skills with an emphasis on detailing
- proficient understanding of building regulations and UK planning system
- ability to produce detailed construction documentation
- experience in working collaboratively with other professionals
- proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- creative problem-solving abilities
- a conscientious approach to work and attention to detail
- UK office experience is a must
Desirable skills:
- experience in contract administration (training will be provided)
- ability to hand-sketch designs
- strong project management skills
- client-facing experience
- practical site experience
Compensation: competitive salary, commensurate with experience
