Senior technical architect
at Wendover Studio
Wendover Partners is looking for a senior technical architect to join its growing team in London.
You will join the architecture studio within Wendover, working to refine and deliver projects from post-planning, to handover and completion.
At the same time, you will be advising concept teams to ensure projects are feasible and buildable from the outset. You will be a point of reference for technical and detailing queries from the office, and will attend site to ensure quality across multiple projects for and with teams based in Rotterdam.
Therefore you have exceptional detailing and delivery skills, are highly motivated and have experience through all design and construction stages. You stay informed of industry changes and are passionate about designing and delivering high-quality and well-resolved projects.
You are confident on site managing contractors and understanding and relaying queries as they arise, and have experience delivering buildings over 18m.
Experience is therefore required in design coordination, technical and detailed drawing, and on-site delivery, snagging and handover. You are able to turn around complex packages single-handedly and mentor staff on the minutiae of a beautiful detail.
Requirements:
- exceptional delivery skills
- ARB registered
- eight years’ experience post-Part 3
- a minimum of six years’ experience running projects in the UK
- experience on listed buildings required
- worked on multi-home and private residential projects, both new build and renovation
- outstanding technical knowledge and detailed drawing ability
- excellent communication, coordination and organizational skills
- structured working methods and analytical thinking
- able to work independently and in a team
- Microstation and ArchiCAD experience preferred
- fluent in English
- the right to live and work in the UK
