Architect
at Horizontal Design
Horizontal design is seeking an architect to join its team in London.
Responsibilities:
- collaborate with clients and project teams to develop architectural designs and concepts
- create detailed architectural drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D and SketchUp
- utilise 3D modelling software like 3ds Max and Grasshopper to create visual representations of architectural designs
- conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for design development
- develop and present design proposals to clients, incorporating their feedback and making revisions as necessary
- coordinate with engineers, contractors and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects
- manage project timelines, budgets and resources to meet client expectations
- stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in architectural design
Skills:
- five years’ experience in technical design and interior architecture
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Grasshopper, NavisWorks and Adobe Creative Suite
- strong design skills with the ability to sketch and visualise concepts
- knowledge of project management principles and the ability to effectively negotiate with clients and stakeholders
- excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and present design ideas to clients
- attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate architectural drawings and models
- strong problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and find innovative solutions
Job type: full-time
Pay: £25,000 to £45,000 per year
