The Plan A Team is growing fast and we are looking for an experienced and proactive bid coordinator to join our London office. We are a friendly team, focused on knowledge sharing, learning, development and approachability. We are hands-on and like to go above and beyond to help architects and designers deliver successful projects.

We are a specialist design management consultancy based in London. We provide design management services to support and guide many of the world’s best architects and designers through the design stages of a project. These include Bjarke Ingels Group, David Chipperfield Architects, Snøhetta and RSHP.

About the role:
- support the director team to lead and coordinate all bids and bid-related elements, including tools and resources
- manage the bid process for all opportunities, ensure bids are of consistent quality and coordinate input from others to ensure deadlines are achieved
Responsibilities include:
- delivering strategic and high value bids that align with Plan A’s vision and standards
- creating high quality bid materials – formulating persuasive written proposals which clearly articulate Plan A’s service and added value
- overseeing and promoting best practice of the bid function
- developing a robust understanding of how Plan A support architects and designers with specialist design management
- be able to communicate confidently to external parties
- be able to achieve objectives and business-related KPIs related to bids and bid functions
- able to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospective new clients (primary relationship holder will be via the director team)
- managing the quality of all bids, ensuring the creation of compliant, compelling and error-free documents
- drafting, editing and reviewing bid content, ensuring it is well-structured, persuasive and tailored to our client’s requirements
- reviewing and proofreading all bid submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy and adherence to the client specifications
- collaborating internally to gather all necessary information to ensure that high-quality proposals and submissions reach clients within deadlines
- managing the post-submission bid process
- preparing templates, CVs and other bid-related documentation, including Plan A proposals
- developing and maintaining bid-related tools, files and documentation
- identify and track bid and win data and analyse the results to provide competitive advantage and identify trends
- conduct research to understand our clients’ needs, project scope and other information to strengthen our bid strategy
- track bid opportunities and upcoming competitions, submissions and outcomes.
- report back to directors on bid success, provide recommendations to improve and deliver winning bids

Core skills and qualifications
We are looking for professionals who possess an understanding of the architecture and design industry, ideally with a working background in architecture and/or the built environment is ideal.
- previous experience in a similar role (eg. bid coordination, proposal management) within a design/construction environment is desirable
- possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications and/or design/construction
- high level of accuracy in editing and proofreading
- a true team player who can effectively coordinate with colleagues and clients
- proficiency in MS suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential
- proficiency in Adobe (InDesign) is essential
- APMP certification is desirable but not essential
