Studio Fuksas is seeking a business development coordinator to join its team in Rome, Italy.
Position: business development coordinator
Location: Fuksas Architecture, Rome, Italy
As a business development coordinator, you will collaborate closely with the directors to support global project acquisition efforts. Your role will focus on leading the production and submission of pre-qualification documents, while managing essential business development materials and data.
In line with the broader market strategy set by the directors, you will also be responsible for organising and maintaining business development materials such as RFP/RFQ responses, client presentations and project portfolios, in addition to managing logistics for new client inquiries.
Key responsibilities:
- market positioning: strengthen Fuksas’ presence in current markets, with a particular emphasis on Europe and the Middle East
- relationship building: support the development of new, and maintenance of existing, client, consultant and collaborator relationships
- proposal management: prepare and coordinate PQQ/RFP/RFQ/RFI submissions, including document development and the creation of graphic and written content for proposals, pitch decks and interview presentations
- material management: organise, maintain and update project data, including information sheets, CVs, portfolios and presentation materials
- project inquiries: assist in assessing, vetting and reporting on new project opportunities and support proactive market research efforts
- status updates: prepare and present regular status updates for the directors, ensuring clear communication of ongoing efforts and project pursuits
- fee proposals: contribute to drafting fee proposals for potential projects when needed
- press and events support: work with the global press team on lectures, exhibitions and other press-related activities as required
- client tours: coordinate and support office and project tours for prospective clients, consultants and collaborators
- innovation and initiative: take a proactive approach, bringing new ideas and improvements to the table to further enhance business development efforts.
Desired skills and experience:
- a bachelor’s degree in architecture, design, urban Studies, communications or a related field (preferred)
- three to five years of experience in a similar role within the construction or design industries
- interest and familiarity with market research in architecture and design, particularly in Europe and the Middle East
- excellent communication and organisational skills, with a self-motivated, proactive approach
- ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and work independently or within a team, often under tight deadlines
- experience producing content with minimal oversight across multiple projects
- proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, in particular)
- fluent English (written and spoken), with additional languages being a plus
