Studio PDP is looking for a Part 1 architectural assistant to join its team in London.

You will be part of an experienced team delivering several projects, including a best-in-class retrofit and extension scheme for a high-end later living and a student living scheme.

Key responsibilities:

• drafting and amending initial feasibility designs
• assisting with planning, technical and working drawings
• assisting to deliver presentations and reports of the highest standard at all stages of a project
• observe and assist with site inspections and quality control
• observe and assist with meeting, briefing and discussing project requirements and constraints with consultants and dealing with queries, checking and commenting on information supplied by others and bringing the architectural information up to date
• working well within a team with other architects, architectural technologists and assistants
• working closely with other consultants and design team members

Skills, knowledge and expertise:

• Part 1 architecture or equivalent qualification
• proven design skills
• a flair for hand drawing and presentation
• an interest in detailing
• experience in Revit and Vectorworks and fluency in Microsoft packages
• knowledge of codes, practice standards and industry expectations
• knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processes
• good communication and teamwork skills
• the ability to communicate successfully with stakeholders in the project
• strong design and drawing skills
• a proactive and enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities
