Whitespace Architects is hiring a design architect to join its team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design and development process from concept to IFC, ensuring high standards of quality and innovation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative environment, mentoring junior staff and contributing to the success of diverse projects.
Key functions and responsibilities:
- assist in developing a thorough design philosophy, contributing to the inception and development of projects
- ensure the accuracy and quality of design documentation prepared by the team
- develop and coordinate responses to review comments, tender queries and contractor’s queries
- receive and manage QA/QC comments
- ensure proper management and control of documentation
- conduct design research and coordination
- mentor junior members of the design team to enhance the standards and quality produced by the department
- ensure team collaboration to achieve set goals and targets
- exhibit strong design sensibilities and technical skills, with the ability to manage all project stages, from concept to construction
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- education: master’s degree or equivalent in architecture
- fluent in English (presenting, speaking, reading, writing)
- experience: at least three years of experience
- experience as a design architect or as an architectural intern within a dynamic, international environment
Technical skills:
- AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop), MS Office Revit, SketchUp, AI, experience with Revit software is a plus
