Lehman College at The City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking a Part 3 architect to join its team in New York, USA.

Lehman College is looking for an architect, level III to develop plans, drawings and estimates for campus-funded upgrade projects as well as co-ordinating those plans.

The role requires the architect to develop scopes and estimates for capital budget requests. You will be responsible for producing high-quality 3D representations (renderings, animations and videos) for architectural design projects, working closely with the project teams.

Skills, knowledge and experience

Essential:

  • a 3D rendering and visualisation specialist, with excellent rendering and animation skills, ability to combine expertise with creativity
  • the ideal candidate is someone with relevant experience working with or at an international architecture or 3D design studio, with an outstanding portfolio and visual sensibility
  • a valid New York Registration as an Architect and four years of full-time experience in professional architecture work
  • in addition, the candidates are required to have one year of project management experience for assignment Level II; and two years of project management experience for Level III
  • a graduate degree in a management field from an accredited college may be substituted for one year of experience for Level III

Preferable:

  • experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems upgrades is a plus
  • animation is a definite plus, especially motion graphics

Salary and benefits

New Hire: $88,427*

Incumbent: $99,920

*This amount reflects a 13% salary suppression in effect for the first 24 months of employment only.
