UNUM Arquitetura is seeking a talented and visionary architect to join our studio in Porto.
We are looking for someone with a strong creative drive, bold conceptual thinking, and a portfolio that reflects a deep capacity for contemporary architectural exploration, with a particular interest in Neo-Futurist design – expressive, ambitious and speculative.
Our practice engages in complex, high-visibility projects across Portugal, from civic architecture to innovative corporate spaces and residential developments. We value architecture as a platform for experimentation, dialogue, and transformation – and we’re looking for someone who shares that vision.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, and technically agile, ready to contribute with fresh ideas and energy, and to grow with a team that is both critical and forward-thinking.
Key responsibilities:
- lead or contribute to the design and development of architectural projects
- engage in conceptual research and iterative design processes
- produce clear, high-quality drawings, diagrams, visualisations and presentations
- collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
- participate in internal critiques and design evolution
Requirements:
- master’s degree in architecture
- a strong and original portfolio demonstrating creative and conceptual thinking
- passion for contemporary and Neo-Futurist architecture
- excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio
Mastery of tools that enhance creative development, including:
- AutoCAD and Revit for technical precision
- 3D modelling and rendering software (e.g., Rhino, 3ds Max, SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, etc.)
- Exploratory use of AI tools in design ideation, image generation or workflow optimisation (e.g., Midjourney, DALL·E, Runway ML or similar)
