LANSERRING is seeking a CAD designer to join its team in London.

Summary of position

Working closely with the LANSERRING design team and reporting to the design director, in this role you will perform a variety of design/drafting activities, including preparing/updating concepts of furniture projects, product and kitchens.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • set out and translating customer specification into drawings (AutoCAD)
  • work closely with the designers, architects and interior designers
  • help developing design briefs and prepare design presentations
  • create and/or participate in the creation of project documentation
  • receive, sort, and file action reports
  • prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specification and related documents
  • assist designers projects to ensure they are delivered on time, to scope and on budget
  • keep the LANSERRING show space and libraries updated and in perfect order
  • help develop the visual identity of the brand as it evolves through 2D CAD plans, 3D illustrations and sketches.
  • perform additional design administrative tasks to maintain the smooth running of the business

Desired skills and expertise:

  • excellent skills in AutoCAD and 3D renderings
  • creativity mixed with a strong attention to detail
  • knowledge of engineering design principles
  • knowledge of material properties
  • excellent organisational skills
  • problem solving skills
  • ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • ability to work in a small team setting
  • good computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications
  • superior communication and interpersonal social skills (tact, diplomacy, respectful)
  • attention to Detail
  • two to three years experience required
