Production assistant (part-time)

Marc Wood Studio is seeking a part-time production assistant to join its team in Norwich, UK.
We are seeking a production assistant to help bring our lighting collections to life. The ideal candidate will be an experienced maker with a design/making background. We are seeking someone who is technically minded, has outstanding attention to detail and can operate in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Initially, this is a part-time position two/three days a week, with the ability to go full-time in the near future.
Key responsibilities:
- all aspects of production and order fulfilment such as;
- wiring, soldering and assembling our lighting collections
- patinating and metal finishing
- boxing and packaging
- inventory management
- operating the spray booth
- liaising with suppliers
- help improve the manufacturing process
- help to troubleshoot and improve the design and construction when required
Qualifications and skills:
- a solid understanding of making and design
- proficient knowledge of design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- experience within a workshop environment
