Overview and objectives of the position:

The Social Media Specialist will lead Solus Ceramics’ social media strategy and implementation across multiple platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest. A key focus will be on LinkedIn and Instagram, where the specialist will build people and design-centric communication that fosters a community of architects, designers and corporate partners aligned with our brand values. This person will work closely with our marketing team, balancing creativity with a strategic approach to showcase the brand’s unique offerings across varied audiences.

Key accountabilities:  
Social Media Strategy Development

  • design and implement a cross-platform social media strategy, placing emphasis on people-focused storytelling that reflects Solus’ values and sector focus
  • tailor messaging to align with our three key specification departments: A&D (Architectural & Interior Designer), Corporate and Luxury Residential, with sensitivity to international audiences

Platform-Specific Content Creation

  • LinkedIn: Create compelling, story-driven content with a focus on people and thought-leadership, aligned with our brand values and positioning
  • Instagram: showcase product innovation, design inspiration, and behind-the-scenes moments in a visually curated style, incorporating both photographic and video content
  • TikTok: Create trend-responsive, short-form video content that brings the Solus brand to life for younger, creative audiences
  • Pinterest: curate visually led boards for mood boarding, surface inspiration, and early-stage material research by architects and designers
  • YouTube: produce long-form videos including factory tours, event recaps, client interviews and project documentaries to reinforce Solus’ leadership in design and sustainability

Community engagement and brand voice

  • engage actively with our audiences, especially on LinkedIn, building rapport with clients, collaborators and industry figures through comments, reposts, and conversation
  • maintain a consistent, warm and professional tone of voice across all channels, embodying our People, Product, Planet ethos

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • monitor platform analytics to assess content performance, audience growth and engagement rates

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • partner with the Marketing, Sales and People teams to craft content that supports internal initiatives, recruitment, project wins and product launches
  • collaborate with showroom teams to ensure accurate, inspiring content aligned with our materials and event programme
  • work closely with photographers, videographers and creatives to plan, capture, and produce high-quality social-first visual content
  • coordinate regular content shoots that balance polished project work with behind-the-scenes, studio, or real-time moments

Qualifications, experience and personal qualities:  

  • degree in Marketing, Design or relevant
  • proven experience in a social media management role with a focus on LinkedIn and Instagram, ideally within the architecture, design or building materials industry
  • proven experience managing social media for a design, architecture or product-focused brand
  • strong grasp of LinkedIn strategy, especially for B2B and professional services
  • ability to adapt tone and messaging across platforms while maintaining brand coherence
  • visual sensibility, with an eye for detail in both design and messaging
  • excellent copywriting skills and a natural curiosity about materials, architecture and culture
  • experience with content scheduling, analytics tools, and community management
  • comfortable briefing and working alongside photographers and video teams to execute campaigns with impact
  • familiarity with the Architecture & Design (A&D) industry and knowledge of trends relevant to corporate, luxury residential and international audiences
  • experience with LinkedIn content strategies that prioritise community building, brand authority, and industry engagement
  • a creative and proactive mindset with a passion for storytelling and visual content
  • collaborative and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively across teams
  • exceptional written and visual communication skills, with a people-centric and design-focused approach to content creation and storytelling
  • proficiency in social media management and analytics tools
  • experience in content creation software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)

Language Skills  

  • excellent verbal and written English
  • knowledge of other languages are an advantage, but not essential
