Head of classified sales (maternity cover)
at Dezeen
Dezeen is looking for maternity cover for its head of classified sales to join its team in London.
Dezeen is the world’s most influential architecture and design magazine, with a readership of three million monthly users and more than eight million social media followers.
We are looking for an experienced, commercially-minded individual to lead our classified sales team and oversee revenue growth across our classified services. These include Dezeen Jobs, Dezeen Events Guide, Dezeen School Shows, Dezeen Courses and the newly launched Dezeen Competitions.
Reporting to the sales director, your main duties will include but not limited to:
- leading and supporting a team of three classified sales representatives
- setting and monitoring both team and individual sales targets
- driving revenue across all classified channels
- identifying growth opportunities and planning new service launches
- collaborating with editorial, partnerships, sales and digital teams
- overseeing delivery of all classified services
- preparing accurate reports and forecasts
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple revenue channels simultaneously. You should have a motivating and supportive management style, take a hands-on approach to leadership and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment. A strong track record in sales, excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset are essential. Experience in recruitment, classified sales or digital media is desirable. Knowledge of the architecture and design industry is an advantage.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position starting in September 2025.
The role is based at Dezeen’s office in Hoxton, London, UK. However, we offer flexible and remote working opportunities to our team.
