Role description

We are looking for a seasoned lead designer to join our high-end European kitchen studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. This pivotal role blends creative vision with technical expertise, requiring a refined design aesthetic, strong spatial planning skills, and the ability to manage both concept and execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, client-facing environment and is comfortable working with discerning residential and trade clients on complex, design-driven projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • design and develop tailored kitchen solutions that balance form, function, and client lifestyle
  • create detailed floor plans, elevations, and cabinetry specifications using industry-standard software
  • lead presentations and guide clients through every stage of the design process, from concept to installation
  • conduct site visits to ensure alignment between design intent and on-site execution
  • collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and installers to ensure design integrity and technical feasibility
  • manage timelines, budgets, and expectations for both residential and trade clients

Qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree or higher in interior design, architecture, or a related field
  • minimum five years’ of professional experience in kitchen or interior design, preferably with a focus on luxury residential projects or European cabinetry systems
  • a compelling portfolio showcasing sophisticated spatial planning, material selection, and custom millwork detailing
  • proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design and visualization tools
  • strong understanding of MEP coordination, construction documentation, and technical detailing
  • excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients and collaborators
  • a polished, service-oriented approach and proven experience working with high-net-worth clients and design professionals
Salary: 60000 - 150000
