Alpha Architects/Nic Antony Architects is hiring an ARB architect to join its team in Essex, UK.
About us
We are seeking architects to join our growing team in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
We are a creative design led architectural practice with a diverse range of exciting projects including high end domestic projects, one- off houses, new builds, developments, we also work on interior projects such as restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars, nail bars etc.
Our office is located on a pleasant high street in Buckhurst Hill, five minutes’ walk from the Central Line. Parking available if required.
The role
We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and talented architects who are passionate about working in a creative design led environment. We are looking for detail-orientated candidates to be part of our friendly team. The successful candidates must have a strong creative drive, ability to develop design proposals, experience in detail drawing packages, design coordination, working knowledge of UK building regulations and be able to liase with clients, consultants and contractors.
Newly qualified architects are welcome. We are offering a competitive salary based on experience and in line with the RIBA salary guide. The position is a full-time role (40 hours per week). We are open to discussing an element of remote working, flexible or compressed hours.

We undertake regular team walkabouts whereby we visit our project sites in order to engage with the client, contractors, build process which provides valuable site experience and professional growth for our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to see your creations come to life!
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
- have an excellent technical understanding of the UK Building Regulations
- proven experience of working on complex projects
- a background that demonstrates excellent design and technical skills
- experience of being part of project team and working across the full range of work stages
- experience in contributing to, reviewing and understanding detailed specifications
- be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD or Vectorworks
- ambitions to develop their career and contribute to the success and growth of the practice

Salary
The salary is between £40,000 and £50,000 and remuneration is dependent upon experience and in line with the RIBA salary guide.
