MCAPS Global is a growing architecture and design practice delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and hospitality projects in the UK. Our work is detail-led and delivery-focused. We’re looking for a confident, technically skilled Part 3 architect to support the director – someone who’s comfortable leading projects, resolving site issues, and getting things built right.
Your role
You’ll play a key role across multiple live projects, from Stage 3 through construction. This is a hands-on job – you’ll work closely with contractors and consultants, and support the day-to-day running of the studio. Your core focus will be technical delivery, site coordination and quality assurance.
Key responsibilities include:
- leading project delivery across RIBA Stages 3–6
- producing and overseeing detailed design and technical packages
- managing building control submissions and compliance
- attending and documenting site meetings; resolving on-site queries
- running contract administration under RIBA/JCT contracts
- coordinating with consultants, and contractors
- supporting and mentoring junior team members
- upholding QA procedures and managing project records
Who we’re looking for
Essential:
- ARB-registered (Part 3 qualified) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
- Experience of both private residential and commercial projects, including architectural and interior design, is an advantage
- strong technical knowledge of construction, detailing and UK Building Regulations
- excellent site experience: reporting, snagging, RFIs, solving technical issues
- confident with contract administration
- skilled at managing drawing packages and consultant coordination
- fluent in AutoCAD; Revit fluency is advantageous as required on current projects
- good communicator, organised, proactive and reliable
- comfortable working across multiple projects in a small, agile team
What we offer:
- a Part 3 leadership role within a growing, design-led SME practice
- direct input into how projects are delivered and how the studio evolves
- a supportive and collaborative studio environment
- a wide range of projects — practical and creatively engaging
- competitive salary
- hybrid working (two to three days in studio)
- regular CPD and project ownership
