About the role
We are seeking an experienced senior site architect to join our multidisciplinary supervision team in the UAE. This role demands a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about architecture and interior design, and who thrives in a dynamic site environment. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of architectural design, construction detailing, and site-based coordination.
Key responsibilities:
- oversee the on-site implementation of architectural and interior design works, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards
- review and validate architectural and ID shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements, local codes, and relevant international standards
- conduct regular site inspections and provide technical direction to ensure high-quality execution, code compliance, and adherence to design intent
- coordinate closely with structural, MEP, and other discipline leads to resolve design clashes and ensure seamless integration of all building systems
- manage and track architectural RFIs, NCRs, and site queries, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with the design teams
- evaluate contractor proposals for architectural modifications and support value-engineering initiatives without compromising functionality, performance
- monitor construction progress, identify potential risks or delays, and provide inputs to support achievement of project milestones
- advise the project manager on technical issues related to architectural works that may affect progress, quality, or safety
- attend project, site progress, coordination, and technical meetings
- prepare draft site instructions or engineer’s instructions for review and issuance by the project manager
- provide guidance to the project manager regarding potential variation claims related to architectural works throughout the construction phase
- lead the snagging and de-snagging process, ensuring that identified defects are addressed promptly and the works progress toward successful completion
Requirements:
- degree in architecture
- minimum of 8-10 years of site experience on large projects (Prior experience working in the Dubai or similar regions is a must)
- good knowledge of the local building codes and authority requirements
- authority registration is preferred
- strong technical knowledge with the ability to resolve design issues on site
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS project or Primavera, MS Office
- excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- strong organizational and coordination skills
